Free Photography - My Personal Projects
Note: I usually offer 1 shoot of each type free, per month. Make sure you book early to get your free photoshoot.
I regularly work on personal photography projects that allow me to experiment with new concepts, styles, and creative ideas. These projects offer the freedom to explore unique themes and settings, often pushing the boundaries of traditional photography. Additionally, personal projects give me the opportunity to test new cameras, lighting setups, and other gear, ensuring that I’m always refining my craft and staying on the cutting edge of photography technology. These shoots are not only a creative outlet for me but also provide valuable content for my YouTube channel, where I share behind-the-scenes insights, tips, and tutorials. This gives both me and my models a chance to gain exposure while contributing to a wider community of photography enthusiasts. The images from these sessions often appear on my website and social media, allowing both the models and myself to build a stronger online presence.
I also produce large-format photobooks from my personal projects, which serve as a beautiful way to display and preserve the work. As a model for one of these projects, you’ll receive all of the best images from the session at no cost, offering you high-quality professional portraits for your portfolio. If your images are selected to be featured in one of my photobooks, you’ll also receive a complimentary copy of the book as a token of appreciation for your collaboration. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting creative process while receiving lasting, beautiful keepsakes from your time in front of the lens. Please note that participants must be over 18 to join.
Fantasy Location Shoots
My fantasy location shoots are about creating something bold and slightly unreal. They’re for people who like the idea of wearing a statement dress in a strong location and letting the place do some of the work.
These shoots focus on large dresses. Prom gowns, ball gowns, long formal dresses with movement. You bring the outfit that matters to you, whether you already own it or have been saving it for the right time. That choice makes the shoot personal from the start and keeps it from feeling styled or generic.
The emphasis is on how the dress moves and how you sit in the space, not on stiff poses. We use natural light, the landscape, and the shape of the dress to keep things simple and grounded.
Locations are chosen to suit the dress and the overall feel you’re after. Everything is planned ahead so the shoot stays calm and unhurried. You don’t need any modelling experience, and you don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you as we go.
Most people feel a bit unsure at the start. That’s normal. Once you’re in the dress and in the location, it usually settles. By the end, it feels less like a shoot and more like spending time inside a moment.

Low Light Confidence Builder Shoots
Low Light Confidence Builder shoots are designed to help you ease into being photographed, without pressure or performance. We work in low light, using close framing and detail shots rather than full-body images. Think body shapes, skin, texture, light, and shadow.
These shoots can take place in my home studio or in your own space, or even a quiet outdoor location at night, whichever feels more comfortable. The environment stays private and relaxed.
The work is mostly anonymous. Faces are usually out of frame, and the focus stays on form rather than identity. That makes it easier to relax and let go of self-consciousness.
You don’t need experience, and you don’t need confidence walking in. That’s the point of the shoot. We take things slowly, check in often, and stop whenever you need to. You’re always in control.
This isn’t about creating perfect images. It’s about getting comfortable with the camera, your body, and the space between the two.

Backsides Of The Bay
Backsides of the Bay is a project I started several years ago and would like to finish properly. It was originally planned as a large-format coffee table book, featuring anonymous images taken around Torbay. That’s where the name comes from.
Not all of the images have to be anonymous. As a thank you for taking part, I’m happy to take some shots that you’d like for your portfolio or personal use.
We’ll meet at a location in one of the three towns and have a wander, looking for quiet urban spots. The shoots last no longer than an hour.
Because the shoots involve nudity, I always look for discreet locations. Early morning shoots are also an option if that suits you better.

Night Time Nudes
One of my latest personal projects is my Night Time Nudes series. This project blends the raw beauty of the human form with the mysterious allure of urban environments after dark. The concept is as bold as it sounds—artistic nude photography captured in cityscapes under the cover of night. I work with striking contrasts of light and shadow, using streetlights, neon signs, and ambient city glow to create dramatic, sensual compositions. The result is a fusion of the human body and urban architecture, where the subject’s vulnerability meets the energy of the city, creating an intimate yet powerful narrative.
What makes Night Time Nudes truly unique is how it embraces the energy of the night—transforming urban spaces into stages for art. The beauty of the city, from its empty streets to its illuminated corners, adds depth and atmosphere to every shot, enhancing the natural curves and lines of the human body. It’s a celebration of both the subject and the surroundings, creating stunning visual contrasts that are both evocative and empowering. If you’re someone looking to push the boundaries of traditional nude photography and experience a truly artistic and transformative session, Night Time Nudes is a captivating project that offers a blend of sensuality, artistry, and the boldness of the nighttime world.
